Bottoni -- Celebrity Fashion Fridays 6/17/2011

E 'Venerdì! That means it's time for a Celebrity Fashion post. I have scoured recent movie premieres, events, talk shows, and celebrity sightings to find my outfit of the week. 

This week I chose Emma Roberts's edgy outfit with a pop of color she wore on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this past Tuesday. Emma Roberts was on the talk show to discuss her latest movie, The Art of Getting By with Freddie Highmore. Her rocker outfit definitely testifies her style evolution from her awkward style days on the 2004 Nickelodeon series Unfabulous.

This outfit is definitely something I could see myself pairing. The rock and roll aspects of the shirt, skirt, and shoes contrasts with the classic, preppy blazer. I adore the color scheme of this look and am currently dying to find some colorful blazers to add  to my own wardrobe. The look shows off Roberts' great legs but covers up on the top portion to keep the outfit from crossing the line and well....being too skanky for a talk show. The tee shirt is tucked in to the skirt and helps prevent the top from looking to bulky. I would give an A. A cocktail ring would just make this outfit perfect in my opinion; however, this outfit absolutely captures the "sweet and salty" essence and has earned it's spot as my celebrity outfit pick for the week.

Emma Roberts strutted on stage wearing an Alice + Olivia pleated leather mini skirt, graphic tee by Lauren Moshi, a soft coral and creme polka-doted blazer, and a pair of patent leather Brian Atwood pumps. Her bold outfit was kept crisp with only a simple pair of studs.

For those of us who unfortunately do not have the luxury to buy five-hundred dollar skirts, one-hundred dollar shirts, and almost seven-hundred dollar shoes I have found some pieces that will help capture Emma Roberts's June 14th Late Night with Jimmy Fallon look :)

I really like this skirt from H&M due to its affordability and comfort. The skirt in black would be a great way to achieve Emma Roberts' look for less.

Because of the simplicity of Emma's shirt any kind of graphic tee could be worn. I have listed two options above both from Forever 21 for under $15 each. The first plays in to the rocker, rebellious edge similar to Emma Roberts' outfit and the second boosts the girlishness of the outfit with the colorful blazer.

Emma Roberts wore a coral and creme polka-dotted blazer, but because of the neutrality of the rest of the outfit any color jacket could be worn. I like the first blazer from top shop because not only is it a pretty pink but it has a seventies vibe with a black color and trim. The second option, also from Top Shop, is a pale yellow and would look great unbuttoned as Roberts wore.

The Aldo Destime has been comparable to many designer black patent leather pumps including the Brian Atwood pumps Emma Roberts wore in my celebrity outfit of the day.
